Abortive more or less came about as a repository for all of the things that were too crass or offensive to put into our other zines. For this reason, the content is kept pretty tightly under wraps, and can be made available by request if you think you can handle it.

The eighth issue of Moshi's personal zine (regarded as 'the smut issue') is probably the most vulgar installment of On the Record to date. It's also the longest, and is brimming with infantility, manky pictures, self-indulgent and gratuitous faggotry, cut-and-paste smut stories and other complete wank.

Because I make zines to revel in my own seedy delight rather than profit, ...Frankly and on the Record has thus far largely been distrubuted amongst my friends and at no charge. I'd much prefer to keep the On the Record series at no charge, and available for trades or at postage cost.

The first installment of Foetuzine is a short-story minizine which worked its way into the inlay of Abortive issue two as something of a stand-alone feature attatchment. In effort to reach the calibre of its host publication, Foetuzine is also horrendously offensive and should not even be touched unless you think dead foetuses and necrophilia are fair game for infantile fodder.

The second issue of Abortive (a collective Tee, Jared and Moshi effort) is, if you will, even more crass and offensive than its predecessor. As a general rule, Abortive is available strictly on request and even then mostly amongst people that we know and suspect will take its atrocious content well. You've really got to have a puerile sense of humour and an iron stomach for this series.

Moshi has the sole responsibility for this silly zine which was made on a whim when she was struck with an idea that needed more than a couple of pages but probably shouldn't comprise a full-length zine. As something of a compromise, then, Lesbiana Picture Book is a quarter-sized booklet made from two A4 pages of unconvincingly arranged lesbian scenes. There isn't a lot of text, but what little there is can be taken as valuable advice for both seasoned and burgeoning lesbians.

...Frankly and on the Record is a very frivolous and none-too-serious sort of perzine. It's compiled by myself, Moshi, and as of right now there are eight issues floating around. Content-wise, On the record is largely cut-and-paste absolute rubbish with the intention of parodying every other publication with a complete lack of substance. Sometimes a surge of arts student conscience strikes me and I try to balance the idiocy out with short essays, but there are more silly picture manipulations than anything else.

The first few issues are, by and large, so mortifyingly bad I'd much rather pretend they didn't exist, but I've been scheming to take the few pages I still like and put them into a newer zine as something of a best-of issues one through four.

Just a journal for us and you, to keep track of the going-ons in Slot Distro territory. I wanted Moshi to take care of doing this shit because I write like an angsty cynical twat and I don't want people to get the wrong impression, obv. But she's always too busy slipping a digit over Michael Jackson. So you're going to have to deal. We're going to be organised eventually, with the memory section dedicated to different zines that we are carrying. For now, it's just a matter of doing the extremely difficult shite, like choosing colours for the livejournal layout (for now, I've selected a lovely poop colour), and wanking on in our myspace 'about me' section.

Speaking of myspace, you can find us here on there. Both here and there will have similar information. I neither recommend or advise you to swing either way. I'll also be setting up a website so I can lay everything out how we want it, and hopefully sort out some kind of shopping cart system. Until then, we're going to be doing orders by money order, paypal, and bank deposit for the ostraylians. Until then, if you have a zine/ book/ comic that you'd like us to stock - please get in contact, I'm in favour of buying everything up front so things should run pretty smoothly for you.

We even have an email address slotdistro @ hotmail.com.
